Perform Jira Operations Within Salesforce

Once you have added the ‘moJiraCommentSync' lightning web component(LWC) to your Salesforce record page you will be able to perform Jira operations like viewing, creating Jira Issues, etc within Salesforce itself by using the ‘moJiraCommentSync’ LWC.

This page will help you in using the 'moJiraCommentSync' LWC.

How to Create a Jira Issue from Salesforce?

  • Click on the New Issue button of the 'moJiraCommentSync' LWC. It will be titled Jira Issues and will be displayed as a widget on your Salesforce record page.

  • Select the Jira Project and the issue type in which you want to create the issue.

Please make sure to select the Jira project before you select the issue type. Issue types are populated in the Select Issue Type dropdown according to the Jira project you select from the Select Jira Project dropdown.

  • Click on Yes. This will create an issue in your Jira instance.

How to view Jira Issues within Salesforce?

  • Navigate to the 'moJiraCommentSync' LWC. It will be titled Jira Issues and will be displayed as a widget on your Salesforce record page.

  • You will be able to see the details of all the Jira issues that are associated with the Salesforce record that you are currently viewing.
