The reconfiguration is a very short and simple process. You need to follow 3 steps.

Step 1: Click on the Reset and Logout button. You will get logged out from your Atlassian account (Jira/Confluence)

Step 2: Log in to your Atlassian app again.

Step 3: Configure

• Case 1 (Only Hardware token was configured as 2FA method):

  • → In this case, after login, configure the Two-factor authentication again.

• • (Using the same Security Key.

• Case 2 (More than one 2FA method was configured):

  • → In case you had configured more than one two factor authentication method or a backup method earlier, then after login you will be asked to verify 2FA via that backup method.

  • After you get successfully logged in, hover on the Profile option (top right corner) and click on the “Two Factor Configuration” option. Then click on Configure.

Complete these 3 steps and you are good to go.
